The Information Technology Museum of the Universitat Politècnica de València brings together a collection of historical pieces that show the evolution of Information Technology and Computer Science since the middle of the last century. The museum is located in the buildings of the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Informàtica of the UPV and is organised in thematic sections dedicated, among others, to computer machines before the appearance of computers, to the minicomputers of the 1970s, to the microcomputers of the 1980s, to software and to large servers. The museum also has installations dedicated to the importance of recycling, reusing and reducing electronic or electrical waste, the role of women in science and the Turing Awards, the most prestigious prize in the field.
