Santa Maria Magdalena Church

The main church of Santa Maria Magdalena has been declared B.I.C., as it is one of the few remaining fortified churches. It is located in the town centre of L’Olleria. The primitive church, built over the old mosque, was built by the Christians in the 13th century, when permission was granted to build an altar to the Virgin Mary inside the parish church, in addition to the main altar that was already dedicated to Santa Maria Magdalena.
