Palau de la Marquesa (Marquess Palace)

Located in the Plaza Mayor, the civic centre of the town. The construction of this mansion is linked to the wealth provided by the silk industry in Carcaixent during the modern age.
Built at the end of the 18th century, it underwent a major structural and decorative reform in the 19th century, which gave it its current appearance.
It is popularly known as the ‘Palacio de la Marqueseta’ (Mª Antonia Taléns Mezquita 1783-1858).
Its ceramic decorations spread throughout the house stand out.
