La Hoya de Buñol – Chiva
At the heart of the Province, it is universally known for the Tomatina de Buñol, which is held in August. Buñol has an interesting old town, with an impressive castle, first built in the 13th Century, when the Gothic style was dominant. Also noteworthy is Chiva Castle, which according to tradition was built in the place where an image of the Virgin was found in 1609, and its Shrine of the Virgen del Castillo.
Another of the region’s attractions is motorsport, which can be enjoyed at Cheste. This town has the Ricardo Tormo Comunitat Valènciana Speed Circuit, bringing together, year after year, the best racers.
