Els Arcs Aqueduct

Monument declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. It is located in the Salt de l’Aigua ravine and its function was to overcome the unevenness of the ravine in order to carry water from the Quart irrigation canal to the neighbouring towns. Its origin has not been determined, although various historians attribute a Roman origin to it.
It has 28 arches with stalactites that have been shaped by continuous filtrations. In the 70’s of the 20th century, the aqueduct box was replaced by a new one.
