Church/Shrine of “Madre de Dios de Loreto”

The first convent of the Dominican order in L’Olleria was founded around 1579, the year in which there was a small chapel dedicated to the Virgin of Loreto, which, according to tradition, was where the image of this virgin had been found. Of the primitive temple founded by the Dominicans, we have preserved a large counter-reformation church with the typical construction characteristics of a church with a single nave, side chapels between the buttresses and a rectangular chancel.
