Sant Roc hermitage

Monuments ( Carcaixent )

The oldest and most emblematic building in Carcaixent (13th century). It was declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1979 and is considered one of the jewels of early Valencian Gothic architecture. It conserves its original structure, consisting of a single rectangular nave with four interior diaphragmatic arches. The wooden ceiling, which has been restored, is worthy of admiration, with period decoration in geometric shapes and diamond-shaped coats of arms.
It is used as a tourist and cultural resource.
