The church we can see today dates from the 18th century. The presbitery is presided over by the image of the Archangel Saint Michael, patron saint of the city. It conserves mural paintings by José Vergara.The chapel hasinteresanting canvases relating to the hagiographic cycle of saint Michael executed by Manuel Camarón Melía.
