Torre del Cortijo

A tower of Arab construction, probably erected during the rule of the Banu Qasim in the small Taifa kingdom of Alpuente, which lasted from 1030 to 1092. It is approximately 10 metres high. It is worth noting that both the tower and the surrounding wall, of which some remains have been preserved, were erected using the rammed earth technique, a technique used since ancient times that was used to construct many of the buildings that we can see today in Aras de los Olmos.
