The Washing Place

The Washing Place was built in 1950 using water from the Sot de Chera irrigation canal as it passed through the town centre, and was renovated in 2000. Its great ethnological value is linked to the use of water for washing clothes, human consumption and crop irrigation. It has beautiful views of the river Sot, and one of its peculiarities is that it is not isolated, but is located under the Cultural Centre, which used to be the Town Hall.
