PLAÇA DE DALT

One of the extensions of the urban centre was the one that took place at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century towards the north-west. The Carrer Major, from the Portell, takes a straight line that leads to the Plaça de Dalt, which is completely square.
In the whole of the eixample, it also includes Carrer del Calvari, Carrer de la Séquia de Baix and the Pati.
The most important buildings in the area were the Antigues Escoles, (now disappeared), the carxates del Pati and the Llavaner de l’Escandall.
