Museum of Contemporary Art Florencio de la Fuente
Museums ( Requena - Utiel - Requena )
The Museum of Contemporary Art Florencio de la Fuente is located in the Cuesta del Ángel. Its building, with its balconies and sundecks, is one of the best known and most emblematic images of the entire Historic-Artistic Ensemble of Requena. The Florencio de la Fuente collection stands out for its thematic, stylistic, technical and procedural diversity. Internationally renowned artists such as Miró, Dalí, Tàpies, Rueda, Mompó, Torner and Miquel Navarro, among others, are mixed in the Florencio de la Fuente collection with those of young Spanish artists such as Castrortega, Villa-Toro, Valribera, Muriel and Plensa. Leading figures of South American art such as Gauyasamín, Lam and Carlos Cañas share the importance in Florencio’s collection with Japanese artists such as Keiko Sato and Yamaoka.
