CHURCH OF INMACULADA

The construction of the current building began in 1796 and lasted until 1803. It has subsequently been restored on several occasions, most notably in 1886. During the repair of the foundations in 1988, a burial crypt was discovered with bone remains and an abundance of ceramics. The building is neoclassical, with a dome and four pendentives decorated with biblical motifs: Adam and Eve expelled from Paradise, Noah’s Ark and the dream of Jacob and Moses.
