Bust of Don Simón de Rojas

Monuments ( Titaguas )

Simón de Rojas (Roxas) Cosme Damián Clemente y Rubio (Titaguas, 27 September 1777-Madrid, 27 February 1827) was a Spanish botanist.
The son of a large family (he had fifteen siblings, of whom only six survived puberty), Simón de Rojas was the son of Joaquín Clemente Collado and his second wife, Juliana Rubio Polo, and the fourth in the line of succession, with no chance of one day inheriting the family bureau.
He undertook multiple studies related to botany.
