ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES

Other places of interest ( Potries )

Potries has archaeological remains that bear witness to the presence of human communities from the Bronze Age onwards.
The Campina-Catorzena site documents the intense Romanisation of Mediterranean rural areas in the 1st century AD. Geographical conditions, with fertile plains and water, made it possible for the settlement of numerous agricultural and livestock farming villages.
In the museum we can find some of these remains, such as Roman amphorae and ceramic forms made of sugar from the sugar cane trade.
