San Antón

As the story goes, St. Anthony Abbot led an austere life in which he discovered wisdom and love through observing nature. From this revelation he acquired the habit of blessing animals and plants. It was after his death that he was summoned as the patron saint of livestock farmers and protector of domestic animals.
The feast of San Antón is celebrated every year in Titaguas on a weekend in January. Different activities take place on this day.
