Corbera

Gastronomy:

Notable local dishes include baked rice and “all i pebre”. Typical sweets include “arnadí” (pumpkin dessert), “els rossegons” and “els torrons de panet” (ground peanuts, sugar and wafers).

Places of interest:

The Castle, which features a bell tower, a courtyard (with four buttresses), the Hermitage of Saint Michael, the Chapel of the Holy Christ, the Parish Church dedicated to Saint Vincet Ferrer and Saint Vincent the Martyr, (15th century), the remains an Iberian settlement located above the village, and interesting natural sites (such as “Les Fontanelles”).

Festivities:

The main festivities are held from 1st to 8th September in honour of Our Lady of the Corbera Castle, with an open-air dinner each night, a sports week, a floral offering, procession and dance. Festivities are held in honour of Saint Joseph on 19th March, with activities including the installation and the burning of a “Falla”.
