BORGIA PALACE

Monuments ( Castelló de Rugat )

Built in the upper part of the town, in the Plaça Palau, as a result of the successive divisions, most of it has been converted into dwellings. Erected by the Bellvís family in the 14th century, the Borja family improved it and used it as their habitual residence during the 16th century. Today, only part of the façade remains visible, as well as sections of the defensive barbican and the garden that surrounded the palace, in addition to a walkway on the outside of the palace, recently built by the Town Council as a viewpoint.
