Parish church of La Asunción

Monuments ( Carcaixent )

The original Gothic church dates from the 15th century. In modern times, from 1625 onwards, it underwent a major remodelling, acquiring its current transept shape and a bell tower was erected. It has a basilica floor plan, with an accentuation of the false transept. There are three entrance doors. The high buttresses of the façade, the slender quadrangular bell tower and the monumental dome -which rises above a large circular drum, with a semi-spherical roof covered with multicoloured ceramics- stand out.
