EL RAVAL

The town grew from the old quarter towards the cemetery, with the streets of Secretaris Mateu (old cemetery) and Cova Santa (old Pilota). With the creation of the Cemetery (18th century), the old cemetery was closed and over the years, local industry grew up around the Placeta del Raval with the Silk Factory, the Almàssera and the Rajolar (no longer in existence). There is also the hermitage of the Cova Santa (Holy Cave).
From here, you can start the route to l’Arquet (aqueduct of two arches).
