The Museu Valencià de la Festa, inaugurated in 2002, is located in the Renaissance building of the Convent of San Vicente Ferrer, built by Dominican friars in 1590.
Among its most outstanding parts is the one dedicated to the history, costumes and music of one of the most representative and significant intangible monuments of theValencian cultural fact: the Festival of”La Mare de Déu de la Salut”; declared by UNESCO IMMATERIAL CULTURAL HERITAGE OF HUMANITY in 2011. It also houses the BUllfighting Week Museum, the sculptor Leonardo Borràs’ room, the”Carmen Insa” costume room, the Aula de Natura, the traditional costume room, and spaces for travelling exhibitions of history, ethnology and art.
