La Dansa dels Pastorets de Vilamarxant takes place on the 25th of December every year. It was danced at the beginning of the 20th century by shepherds and woodcutters who came down from the Serranía to ask for a Christmas bonus on Christmas days, which is why it is a Christmas carol sung in Spanish.
It is a Christmas dance performed by a group of four dancers dressed in costumes reminiscent of the old profession of woodcutters.
