Pego-Oliva Wetland Natural Park
The Marjal de Pego-Oliva is a wetland area between the Provinces of València and Alicante. Its main characteristics are its great biodiversity and the excellent quality of its waters, as well as its quantity. The rain filters down to the aquifer, then rises to the surface through the ullals. Submerged grasslands give life to species that are difficult to maintain, such as the samaruc, myriophyllum, ceratophyllum, gambeta, and potamogeton.
