LA MARJAL DELS MOROS
Recognized as ZEPA (Special Protection Area for Birds, for its initials in Spanish), it is a wetland located between the municipalities of Puçol and Sagunto that has important populations of several species of birds, some in serious danger of extinction.
The most representative species of this space is the white-faced tern, as well as the red-crested pochard and the pink flamingo in winter. We can also find native fish such as the ‘samaruc’ and ‘fartet’; and as for vegetation, rushes, reeds and small cultivatable lands.
