El Molón Cultural Site

El Molón is a place where environmental and cultural interest come together. The large rocky massif is home to protected species of flora and fauna (a privileged place for birdwatching) and the remains of an interesting settlement with three outstanding periods:
1. Pre-Roman, with one of the best-preserved walls from the 4th century BC in the Levant.
2. Medieval, with an interesting mosque from the 8th century AD.
3. Contemporary, with military remains from the Civil War of 1936-1939.
