LA CISTERNA (THE TANK)

The Cistern is located between Cervantes and Pintor Sorolla streets. It is an underground construction, made of stone and covered by a barrel vault, which was used to collect water from underground streams.
On 27th December 1885, the construction of the Cisterna began, a decisive event of vital importance for the wellbeing of Xeraco in the 19th century.
It is currently used as a local museum.
