Church of Nuestra Señora de la Merced

This is a religious monument located in the centre of the municipality of Gátova. The origins of this building date back to the 18th century and it has a central nave with side chapels and an imposing bell tower. As it is located in the centre of the town centre, it is a witness to many of the events held in the square.
It is dedicated to the Virgen de la Merced, which is celebrated at the end of September and on these dates the traditional Tarde de Jotas (BRL) is held.
