Monuments ( Sumacàrcer )
The Islamic and feudal fortress of Sumacàrcer (10th-14th century) is located on a long, narrow mountain peak next to the town centre, 150-180 metres above sea level. The fortress is accessible on foot from the village, along a well-signposted footpath that is easy to maintain, as it is usually frequented by the villagers.
Its location is particularly valuable from an ecological point of view, due to the high concentration of autochthonous species.
