VISIT LA MUELA RESERVE

La Muela is owned by the State, which in 1973 created a national game reserve covering 36,009 hectares.
At the top of La Muela is a reservoir with a capacity of 23 hm³, built in 1988 for hydroelectric power generation.
It is a massif of Cretaceous origin composed mainly of limestone alternating with gypsum and clay. It belongs to the last foothills of the Iberian Mountains.
