El Penyó

El Penyó is one of the highest peaks in the municipality of Vallada, from which you can see the whole municipality and is a symbol of La Costera as it is a visible and prominent landmark that does not go unnoticed by the traveller who crosses the Vall del Riu Canyoles. It is a precious calcareous buttress that represents the identity of Vallada with an alpine and challenging silhouette. At its foot we can see the Túnel dels Sumidors tunnel as well as the Penyes de l’Àguila and the Saladella saltwater river.
