Buseo Reservoir Recreation Area

The Buseo reservoir is a beautiful backwater reminiscent of Swiss landscapes, and was formed by building a 40-metre-high dam on the course of the river Reatillo, at the entrance to the narrow Tormagal gorge. The dam, built in ashlar between 1903 and 1915, can store 7.5 cubic hectometres of water, enough to irrigate the entire Valencian huerta at least two and a half times a year.
It is the oldest reservoir in the Turia basin.
