LA CREU DEL GARBÍ HERMITAGE (1804)

The origin of the Creu del Garbí hermitage is related to the placing of a cross on this mountain in 1787. In 1804 a chapel was built there. It consisted of a roof supported by 4 arches. The one on the west side was covered and the rest were uncovered. In 1820 the south and north arches were covered and the whole roof was renovated. The existing tiles were also removed and replaced with mortar. The last renovation was in 1834. It was restored in 1993.
