NEW CISTERN (YEAR 1854)

One of the urban constructions developed in many towns to take advantage of the water flow and to store it is the cistern. The construction of the cistern was completed in 1854. The external part of the construction consists of a hut topped by a roof, with access to a staircase with a cannon turn that leads to the spout and the basin’s tap. The basin occupies the entire perimeter of the square and is made up of two distinct areas separated by two large semicircular arches.
