Corbera castle

Corbera Castle is, without doubt, the most important monument in the town. Situated on the site of a Bronze Age settlement, with an Islamic layout, it was reformed by the Christians. It played an important role during the ‘Guerra de les Germanies’, where in June 1521 a battle took place that completely destroyed it. Originally, it had a great strategic value, due to its elevated position over the whole territory. The views from the castle are magnificent.
