THE MOSQUE

Despite the many transformations it has undergone, the central worship room is still preserved today. It has a rectangular floor plan with two naves, with six vaulted ceilings covered in tiles and details of the glazed ceramic ornamentation on the walls and pillars. It is one of the few remaining mosques in the Valencian Community that preserves some original period details. The mosque is located inside a house, currently owned by the Castelló de Rugat Town Council.
