Public school

Bellreguard was one of the first municipalities in La Safor to have a public school. In 1822, it was documented on the second floor of the town hall and in some houses leased by the town council. But the first proper building would not arrive for more than a century, as it was built in 1926 at a cost of 41,448 pesetas of the time. In 1936, the new school was enlarged with four sections and a library, thanks to a state subsidy of 60,000 pesetas.
