Sierra Calderona Natural Park
This park is located between the Provinces of Castellón and València, about 20 km from València.
The Sierra de Calderona is an extraordinarily diverse area for viewing birds of prey, such as the goshawk and the short-toed eagle, or the nuthatch, along with rockers, owls, owlets, the peregrine falcon or Bonelli’s eagle.
From the Mirador del Garbí you can observe the area, and walk to try to spot the wild cat, the genet, the terrapin, the ocellated lizard or the red squirrel; as well as badgers, partridges, hares and wild boar, and the small but beautiful roe deer, which is slowly returning.
