Serra de Mariola Natural Park

In the inland part of the Provinces of Alicante and València, the Sierra de Mariola National Park includes towns such as Agres, Alcoi, Alfafara, Banyeres de Mariola, Bocairent, Cocentaina and Muro de Alcoy. It is known for its archaeological sites, with Neolithic caves, medieval snow pits, castles and shrines, and traditional farmhouses.

Its mountain peaks stand out, such as Montcabrer, in Cocentaina, at 1,390 metres, Alto de Mariola, in Bocairent (1,158 m), El Contador (1,232 m) and El Portín (1,081 m).
It has the southernmost yew forest in Europe, and more than 1,200 different species of flowers
