Church of San Bartolomé

This is Vallada’s most outstanding monument. The construction of this late Gothic parish church began in 1564 and, after several stages of construction, it was completed in the second half of the 18th century in the Baroque style.
Apart from the passage of time, the church of Sant Bertomeu has suffered two historical events that affected its stones and walls. Firstly, the devastating earthquakes of 1748 and, secondly, the Spanish Civil War of 1936.
