Racó del Mar Beach
This is a quiet beach, more than a kilometre long, which forms a wedge between the beaches of the town of Sagunto. With its fine sand, and a very large area of beach, it is surrounded by a line of plant-covered dunes that give it a very natural appearance. At the southern end there is a Marina that offers courses in sailing small craft and windsurfing in the summer. The beach is accessible, with all the services necessary to make access for persons with reduced mobility easier.
Racó de Mar is one of the nine best beaches in the Valencia Region. Its golden sand, crystal-clear shallow waters, and the chain of dunes along the whole length of the beach, make it a real natural delight. Over the last nine years it has been awarded the Blue Flag, and in 2002 it obtained the ISO 9001 and 14001 Quality and Environment certificates, which are only held by 40 beaches in the whole of Spain (nine in total in the Valencia Region).
