A visit to this region is a joy for the senses. Besides the much-appreciated food and wine, (its Castillian gastronomy, its cold and cured meats, and its wines, with their own Protected Designation of Origen), the region offers the visitor a valuable cultural and natural heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mediaeval Town of Requena, known as the Barrio de la Villa, is recognised as a Site of Cutural Interest. It dates back to the 7th C a.d. Here the visitor can see the Keep, the Alcazaba Fortress and the Jewish Quarter, the Cuevas de la Villa CAves, the Churches of San Nicol\u00e1s de Bari and Santa Mar\u00eda, the Parish Church of El Salvador, and wander through the Cuesta de las Carnicer\u00edas, the Castle, and the Castle and Town Squares.<\/span><\/p>\n

Utiel also has a rich heritage, in which the Mediaeval Town, dating from the end of the 14th and the 15th centuries, also stands out, and where the Muslim, Christian and Jewish Heritage can easily be identified.<\/span><\/p>\n

The area around the Hoces de Cabriel is of particular interest.
