The magnificent fountain located on the edge of the washing place and the basin, inaugurated in 1881, gives its name to one of the most characteristic streets. In the past, and still today there are still people who do it, the water from the fountain was collected with cannisters for the houses, as in those days the water in the houses was not drinkable.
