It is Vallada\u2019s most prominent monument. In 1564, the master stonemason Domingo de Gamieta began the construction of this parish church which, after several phases of construction, would be definitively completed following the construction of the Chapel of the Communion in the second half of the 18th century.\r\n\r\n<strong>Hermitage of Saint Sebastian<\/strong>. Construction was completed in 1746. It replaced a previous hermitage that was already documented in the 16th-century\r\n\r\n<strong>Hermitage of Christ<\/strong>. It replaced the old chapel of the Calvary and was built in the middle of the 19th century.\r\n\r\n<strong>Chapel of the Divine Judge<\/strong>. Built after the earthquake of 1748 on the site where the statue of the saint was stored for many months due to the fear of the collapse of the parish church.\r\n\r\n\u201c<strong>El Pare Presentat<\/strong>\u201c. An iron sculpture, designed by Jos\u00e9 Gonzalvo and paid for by the \u201cPare Presentat\u201d association, it was inaugurated in 1980 in honour and recognition of the life, virtues and fame of sanctity of Mercedarian Father Friare Andr\u00e9s Garrido, son of this village (Vallada, 1663, X\u00e0tiva, 1728).\r\n\r\n<strong>Old town<\/strong>, with special interest to be found in certain of the most representative streets: Santa Creu, Sant Cayet\u00e0, Santa Rosa and Santa Ana.\r\n\r\n<strong>Archaeological Museum<\/strong>. The archaeological materials that make up this museum collection include a full chronology ranging from the Palaeolithic period through to the late Neolithic, Bronze, Iberian and Roman periods, up to medieval times, both Islamic and Christian.\r\n\r\n<strong>The remains of Vallada Castle<\/strong>, of Muslim origin. It is located in the area known as La Pe\u00f1a, at 520m above sea level. It was part of the series of castles guarding the area, together with the castles of Montesa, X\u00e0tiva and Moixent.\r\n\r\nNatural parks:\r\n\r\n<strong>Chasms and caves\r\n<\/strong>Caving enthusiasts will find in Vallada a wide variety of caves and chasms to explore: \u201cCova del Castell\u201d, \u201cCova del Cavall\u201d, \u201cCova Santa\u201d, \u201cCova Pates\u201d, \u201cCova Mosseguellos\u201d (with remains of cave paintings dating from the Paleolithic age), \u201cSima de la Balarma\u201d, \u201cSima Penya el Sol\u201d, etc.\r\n\r\n<strong>Barranco de Boquella i Tarrassos (PR-V 305)\r\n<\/strong>The impressive geomorphology of this area, formed by the two ravines separated by \u201cLa Plana de la Maravillosa\u201d, is very impressive. It covers a large area from the mouth of the ravines on the River Canyoles, extending through the municipalities of Moixent, Ayora and Enguera.\r\n\r\n<strong>River Canyoles\r\n<\/strong>Vallada\u2019s most important river, which runs through the entire municipality. Here it is possible to observe the typical flora and fauna of humid environments.\r\n\r\n<strong>Alt de la Creu\r\n<\/strong>This border area between the municipalities of Vallada, Moixent, Aielo de Malferit and Ontinyent, represents Vallada\u2019s point of highest altitude, and a location in which vegetation that is endemic to the region can be seen.\r\n\r\n<strong>Saraella, Peny\u00f3 i Corda del Castell (SL El Peny\u00f3)\r\n<\/strong>A spectacular karst landscape which includes \u201cEl Sumidor\u201d Tunnel and a salt water current that is unique in the region. The contrast of the red clay, the gray limestone and the green vegetation imbibes the area with a great beauty.\r\n\r\n<strong>Saraella Llarga (PR-V El Tossal).\r\n<\/strong>It represents the natural continuation of the \u201cSaraella\u201d area. Located east of the village are paleontological remains of marine invertebrate, indicating the geological origins of the region.\r\n\r\n<strong>Sumidor Tunnel\r\n<\/strong>The Sumidor tunnel is the largest karst cavity in the world and represents a provisional altitude difference of 205 m along a distance of some 13000 m, thus making it the deepest clay cavity in the world.
