Gastronomy:<\/h4>\r\nJarafuel\u2019s gastronomy reflects the best traditions of the inland areas. Over time, farmers, shepherds and our Muslim ancestors have developed a culinary culture that today has its own identity, customs and traditions.\r\n\r\nBased on the quality of the produce employed (sheep, pigs, game birds and all kinds of fruit and vegetables grown locally), the local cuisine offers the visitor a range of traditional and delicious dishes.\r\n\r\nThese include: gazpacho, \u201cgachas de matanza\u201d, \u201ccalducho\u201d, \u201cgrullos\u201d, \u201cto\u00f1as\u201d, potatoes in broth, \u201ctrigo tastanao\u201d, beans with sausages, pork stuffing and \u201cajetao\u201d.\r\n

Places of interest:<\/h4>\r\nPicturesque landscapes of overlapping hills, mountains, valleys and rivers, interesting springs.\r\n\r\n\u201cFuente Bella\u201d\r\n<\/strong>Starting from the village, we travel some 3km in the direction of Carcel\u00e9n, where we find a turning from which we take a paved road to the spring. Immersed in its extensive, pine-populated natural environment, visitors can enjoy direct contact with nature and the tranquillity that they seek.\r\n\r\n\u201cFuente del Tobarro\u201d\r\n<\/strong>By continuing one kilometre further along the same path that has led us to \u201cFuente Bella\u201d, we reach \u201cFuente del Tobarro\u201d. It is equipped with facilities that are perfect for large groups, including a camping area, recreation areas, springs, ponds, shelter, toilets and showers. During the summer it is occupied by children\u2019s camps.\r\n\r\nHackberry Craftwork\r\n<\/strong>The hackberry (\u201calmez\u201d in Spanish) is a tree whose name derives from the Arabic \u201cal mays\u201d. It is also commonly known as \u201cLatonero\u201d, \u201cAligonero\u201d, \u201cLlidonero\u201d and \u201cLodo\u00f1o\u201d. It belongs to the\u00a0Ulmaceae<\/em>\u00a0botanical family and its scientific name is\u00a0Celtis australis<\/em>. It is a large tree with lanceolate ovate leaves, smooth bark, black, edible acidic and pleasant-tasting berries, sustained by a long stalk and called \u201calmezas\u201d, although in Jarafuel we call them \u201clidrones\u201d.
