Gastronomy:<\/h4>\r\nEl Palomar\u2019s most typical dishes are baked rice (for Easter), boiled beans (for the \u201cla Plant\u00e0 del Xop\u201d festivities), and paella.\r\n

Places of interest:<\/h4>\r\n\u2013 Church of St. Peter the Apostle, built in the 17th century, baroque.\r\n\u2013 Belltower, offering a beautiful view of the village.\r\n\u2013 Hermitage of the Rosary, rebuilt in the 19th century, of neoclassical inspiration.\r\n\u2013 Series of polychrome ceramic devotional bricks installed in the different streets throughout the village.\r\n\u2013 \u201cLa Sala\u201d, formerly used as the town hall and which new houses the \u201cCastell de Carr\u00edcola\u201d archaeological museum.\r\n\u2013 Carr\u00edcola Castle, 13th century medieval tower. Declared of Cultural Interest (BIC).\r\n\u2013 \u201cJunda\u201d Ravine, from which the visitor can reach the \u201cFont de Sis\u201d natural landscape via the recently-created, poplar-filled \u201cSenda Verde\u201d trail.\r\n\u2013 \u201cFont de Sis\u201d Natural Park, which has a spring, an old lavoir, public toilets, paella-making facilities and tables, plus a cafeteria-restaurant.\r\n

Festivities:<\/h4>\r\nThe \u201cPlant\u00e0 del Xop\u201d (2nd weekend of May), and Our Lady of the Forsaken festivities. During these very popular festivities, a poplar is planted in the village square, after having being carried on the shoulders of the village\u2019s young people. They also include the \u201cdance of the flag\u201d and the dance of \u201cels pastorets\u201d. The village\u2019s main festivities are held during the 3rd week of August in honour of the Holy Family and the Christ of the Miracle.
