Gastronomy:<\/h4>\r\nThe most notable example of local cuisine is \u201cl\u2019arr\u00f2s amb fesols i naps\u201d (rice with beans and turnips).\r\n

Places of interest:<\/h4>\r\nThe Parish Church of the Immaculate Conception, built in 1574, is the most important monument in the village, located on the banks of the River J\u00facar. It hosts an interesting oil painting by the native of Benimodo, Rector Soria, a disciple of Sorolla. The Old Town consists of narrow streets that lead to the village\u2019s two main squares: Plaza Mayor and Plaza March\u00ed. In the latter there is an old building known as \u201cLa Imprenta\u201d (the Press). The natural areas include a wetland of great ecological value known as \u201cEls Ullals del Riu Verd\u201d, as well as \u201cEl Paratge natural del Barranc i Coves del Truig\u201d, a mountainous area of great environmental value and where archaeological remains from the Bronze Age have been discovered.\r\n

Festivities:<\/h4>\r\nThe village\u2019s main festivities are held from 23rd to 25th August in honour of the patron saints, Saint Philip, Saint Bernard the Martyr and the Divine Aurora. The week of bull-running festivities\u00a0(bous al carrer<\/em>) is held in mid-September.
