Gastronomy:<\/h4>\r\n\u201cAll i pebre\u201d and paella are the most notable local dishes.\r\n

Places of interest:<\/h4>\r\nThe Parish Church of Saint Sebastian and Our Lady of El Don (18th century), a recently-restored effigy found during the Christian conquest of the Kingdom of Valencia, is the village\u2019s most prominent monument. The municipally-owned \u201cEdgar Neville\u201d art gallery is worth a visit. A wide range of art is exhibited. On a cultural level, visitors are recommended to visit the Cultural Athenaeum, which hosts talks on local issues, and the Musical Athenaeum, which is home to Alfafar\u2019s municipal band. The \u201cParque Acosa\u201d neighbourhood stands out for its traditional Valencian architecture. Local natural sites within the municipality of Alfafar include the Albufera lake, which has been declared a Natural Park (a protected area of great natural and biological interest).\r\n

Festivities:<\/h4>\r\n\u201cLas Fallas\u201d are held in honour of Saint Joseph from 15th to 19th March. On the last day of the festivities, the \u201cFallas\u201d monuments are burnt in the streets. The main festivities are held in early September in honour of Our Lady of the Don. The festivities of El Tremolar are held during the first week of July in honour of Our Lady of the Forsaken.
